Servers = Redundancy

If your business runs on a server, does it have redundancy?

There are multiple parts of a computer server which should be redundant. If your business relies on a server for its daily functions, then find out if it has any redundant parts. Drive failures are traditionally the most common reasons why the server fails. At a minimum, the storage drives (hard drive or SSD) should be redundant using a RAID 1, 5, or 6 array which would allow your server to function even if there is a drive failure. The RAID array should ideally be using a high quality RAID controller. Redundancy can extend to CPU, power supply, memory, and even the RAID controller. In addition, you could even have a backup server allowing your business to function even if one server goes down.
